Some Good News..........

FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - The Kentucky Court of <NOBR style="FONT-WEIGHT: normal; FONT-SIZE: 100%">Appeals </NOBR> has blocked the state's attempt to deny 140 online casinos from operating within its borders.
A three-judge panel ruled Tuesday the state does not have jurisdiction in the case. The judges voted 2-1 to stop Franklin County Circuit Court from moving ahead with a hearing on whether Kentucky can seize the Internet domain names.

Kentuckians to gamble illegally and asked a judge to either force the sites to block Kentucky users or allow the state to take possession of the domain names. Kentucky already allows gambling on horse <NOBR style="FONT-WEIGHT: normal; FONT-SIZE: 100%">racing </NOBR> and bingo and has a state lottery.
Attorneys for the state and the Web sites have estimated that about 13,000 people in Kentucky use the online casinos.

Hopefully within the year online poker will be completely legal, and online sportsbetting follows suit sometime within the next 30 years.

one of his first presidential acts, President Obama has ordered federal agencies to halt all pending regulations until his administration can review them.

White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel issued the memorandum shortly after Obama took the oath of office.

President Bush used his executive powers to issue new regulations before leaving office, a common practice during transitions.
