Planning a trip for spring break. I have 2 boys 12 & 10. Thinking about maybe heading to Fla. Can anyone please tell me anything about sites like expedia.com travelocity.com? Are there any others? Which would you recommend? Thanks in advance.

you can use kayak.com to compare prices for flights/hotels etc multiple airlines

you can also bid on hotel rooms etc by going to www.priceiline.com (you might get a good deal there )

and you can read reviews of almost anything (Hotels.attractions etc) at www.tripadvisor.com (I never book a hotel until I check it out at tripadvisor)

you should come to my home town cocoa beach . nice little beach town that is 1 hour from all of the orlando attractions.

you could always hit the space center as wall if your boys are into that stuff.

Is there still a grungy little bar named Jonathan's there?

Joe, if you are thinking of taking the kids to Disneyworld over spring break you have lost your mind. First off, it will be hot and you will be miserable waiting in line with the kids to get on a ride and I'm not talking 15 minutes but and hour or so for each ride. Second, every family goes to Disney over spring break as well as a lot of British families so it will be hot, busy and long lines. If somehow you get talked into this abortion of an idea then by the tickets for the fast pass so you can skip the lines.

I would never ever go to a theme park again over the summer. November, December or January is perfect. Only my humble opinion of course.

If you're not going to Disney then I just wasted 5 minutes of my life.

Best place for price comparison on travel is kayak.com
Not sure if they have the same "trip/vacation" planning type stuff as the others, but for 1-1 price comparison it beats them all

For the bigger more common trips (ie Disney, Vegas, etc) Southwest Vacations usually have good prices as a package deal.

Like Kayak though for everything else

Thanks again everybody. I never heard of some of those sites, and they are excellent! Thank you very much.
Enfuego, yeah, I know, I am not a theme park fan at all. Standing in line for
a half hour....yeah that definitely sucks.
We are just looking for some warm weather, pretty close to the beach. Popular attractions and all that, we're not really into. Cocoa Beach, sounds cool....
