By Mel Kiper? I know he's tall and fast but is he going to play TE or WR? I must've missed the memo on him because I didn't see anything to indicate that he was that versatile.

I'm with you.

Honestly, I have never disagreed more with QB evaluation from the scouts than this year. I don't see 1st round talent in either Sanchez or Freeman. I thought that the second best QB was Bomar in this draft. Dude has all the talent in the world just needs polishing and time to grow.

To be fair though I'm not the best judge of QB talent. I thought Akili Smith would be the class of the 99 QB crop (with Culpepper as the 2nd best). And I also thought that Leftwich would be better than Palmer

Size and speed are huge in the draft. He has a strong arm as well. Lots of potential... he played with lesser talent than other college teams so NFL scouts think he's better than his stats indicated.

If Sanchez stays healthy he is going to end up in Canton. I'm a big Bomar fan and I think him and Stafford will both be solid NFL QB's 5 years from now. I actually think Bomar would be a good fit for Philly because I'm not sure Kolb is the long term answer there. Indy might be another good spot for Bomar, you figure Peyton probably has about 5 years left, he wouldn't be a bad guy to learn from.

Josh Freeman has ideal size and arm strength, a poor man's Drew Bledsoe or Joe Flacco. Does he have the mental toughness and accuracy to play at the NFL level and how good is the organization which drafts him at developing NFL QB's? Those are the questions he will face.

Freeeman could end up being the best QB prospect of them all. He has a big arm and he comes out of a pro style offense. So he's ready made for the NFL. It was unfortunate for him that he played on a lousy team with a lousy coach. He also didn't have the talent around him this year that he needed to show off his abilities. But he has been high on the NFL scouts list for the last 3 years.

Lions should sign Leftwich, trade down to #10 with the 49ers. Singletary could draft his franchise QB at #1 Stafford or Sanchez, Lions would pick up the 49ers #10 pick plus their 3rd round pick and possibly a 4th or 5th next year depending on what the 49ers would give up. Lions would then have 6 picks in the top 85 of the draft and could build from there.

Wait, hold up here. Did I just read if Sanchez stays healthy he's going to the Pro Football Hall of Fame? This is a joke right? The guy started one year in college and has never taken a snap in the NFL. WTF are you talking about?
