Deep down it represents a struggle with your sexuality...either now or in the past...

If you are trying to quit an addiction of most any type, you will have nightmares. Or maybe you are not eating right, or maybe you are not getting enough excercise. It's usually a change or event of some kind that triggers them.

Not sure if I've had an out of body dream but I've had something similar over and over, not recently though. When I fall asleep, I wake up in my dream but can't move. I can see all around the room clear as day but can't move my body, like I'm paralyzed! In the dream I try to move my hands and head, but can't. All I can do is look all around the room. It really freaks me out and I finally manage to wake myself up.

I tend to find that the more dehydrated I am, then the more vivid and fucked up my dreams are - try drinking a glass of water before bed and see if that works.

Having said that, usually the dehydration comes after I have been drinking so it could well be the alcohol casuing the dreams as well...

My dreams are so random.. sumtimes they make no sense? Is there any sites that can explain what our dreams mean? For example I use to smoke pot, quit awhile ago.. and in my dreams I frequently have weed on me. Also my dead grandfather is in some and IM ALWAYS living in the house I grew up in.. It is such a trip sometimes when I wake up Im like "WTF" Last night I had a dream I was at my elementary school signing up for little league(as a grown ass man) and getting my teammates numbers to call em up and set up practice.. then my car got towed haha. wtf is that ? If you want to remember your dreams first thing when u wake up is think what you just dreamed about or happened.

I would suggest investing in a Dreamer's Dictionary.....Also, when you sleep on your back, you are prone to have nightmares more so than lying in any other position.

no addictions...could be the change in my exercise routine as i haven't been able to lately due to a sprained wrist. i drank the other night (probably like 4-5 nights ago) and had one that night, then i've been having them every night since. the one i had which i guess was this out of body experience, i could see myself laying in my bed in the exact surrounding i was in, being attacked by something and i woke myself up screaming haha. i don't know what the fuck it is...anybody know why you're more prone from laying on your back?

I have had that dream for as long as I can remember, you are the first person I have seen mention such a dream. The worse is when I have a cramp in my neck or arm and cant re-position myself due to the paralysis.

Some of you are referring to a condition called "sleep paralysis" and is also referred to as "night terrors"...goes way beyond normal nightmares. Google it and you will find a lot of information... .a very scary experience... I used to struggle with it periodically and seems like it happened after a long weekend partying and when going to sleep on my back...Haven't had it happen for years, thank God....terrifying. Some crazy explanations for it out there but also some scientific explanations..

I feel for anyone who has experienced this. Like I said, way beyond a normal nightmare....
