Betting on Super Bowl and Lakers, Lebron

Sportingbet.com is taking Super Bowl prop bets to a whole new level, offering cross-sport betting for Super Bowl XLIII on Sunday.

Football bettors can place bets on Super Bowl props that are matched up against NBA props when the big game kicks off Sunday (6:20 pm ET, NBC).

“We think bettors will really enjoy these props,” said Sportingbet.com Oddsmaker David Main.

“Certain Super Bowl props are matched up against various NBA Props for both Saturday and Sunday NBA Matches, all involving Totals but also with a point spread.”

Some examples of Sportingbet.com cross-sport props are “Total Larry Fitzgerald Receiving Yards versus Total Points Scored by the Los Angeles Lakers,” and “Total Super Bowl Points (-3.5) versus Total Lebron James Points, Rebounds and Assists combined.”

And Sportingbet.com will also have Live IN:pLAY Betting available for the Super Bowl, as well as both Lakers’ tilts this weekend: Tonight, Los Angeles visits the Minnesota Timberwolves (8 pm ET, KCAL) and on Saturday takes on the Grizzlies in Memphis (8 pm ET, KCAL, SportSouth).

There are also hundreds – literally hundreds – of other props available, including: Quarter betting (2nd, 3rd, 4th Quarters to be Updated IN: PLAY); First Touchdown Scorer; Pittsburgh’s First Touchdown Scorer; Arizona’s First Touchdown Scorer; Player Yardage betting – Passing, Receiving and Rushing yards for various players.

In a wager unique to Sportingbet.com, the First TD Scorer will be offered as an “Each-Way” market, Main said.

“An Each Way bet consists of two separate bets on your chosen selection, in this case the market is settled for the first four TDs of the whole game, settled at one-quarter of the initial odds.”

For example, a 10 dollar Each-Way on Nate Washington to score first TD of the game at 16-1 would cost a total of 20 dollars, and will mean bettors have the following two chances to win their bet: 10 dollars on Nate Washington to score the first TD at 16-1, and $10 on Nate Washington to score any of the first four TDs of the game at 4-1.

“So if Washington happens to score the 2nd, 3rd or 4th TD of the match then the customer still has a chance to win, and if he scores 1st then the customer will win both bets,” said Main.

Of course, you can also bet the Super Bowl the traditional way: by picking the winner.

Pittsburgh is a 7-point favorite at Sportingbet.com.
