Had a 360 but didn't have time for it & sold it.
However, from everything I have discovered since both of them were launched, the XBox is the way to go.
I had a Playstation 2 and vowed to stick with them & purchase a #3, but as I just said above, there were more factors that lef me to the 360, especially when I learnt that most of the bigger softward companies were going to cater to Microsoft & the XBox first & foremost, that made my mind up for good....

im still back and forth on this. been for months. having never played either and just from reading up, i'd lean ps3.
dont buy what these guys say about the 360 having better games. 90 percent of the games that come out come out on both systems.
from what i read the ps3 is under utilized but in the next year or so it'll blow away 360.
the ps3 is also a much more reliable machine from what i read. lot of 360's break down. was actually surprised at how many go down.
i heard 360's online is better, but not a huge difference.

PS3 does have better graphics and gameplay because it has a better chip. That's why it's more expensive.
However, there is some concern that Sony might pull the plug on the Playstation franchise. I read that they have lost close to a billion dollars on selling the console and don't expect game sales to make up anything close to what they lost.
If it wasn't for Halo, XBox never would have survived. But now they are the best overall game system. PS3 online play is a nightmare also while XBox's runs quite smoothly.

I was a big PS2 guy but 360 is the way to go. You can't beat the online community and the controller is more natural.
