Meaning these teams that just run up & down the court to try & outscore their opponent.

It doesn't take a brain surgeon to see that types of teams that have won championships the last decade or so like.....

Chicago
San Antonio
Detroit
Boston
Houston

And others.....

Phoenix has been the best team at trying to run that up tempo style and has probably been the closest ever to winning a title, but we all know it wasn't near close enough as they couldn't ever even get to the big game.

Defense wins, and the NBA is no exception........

You're spot on Hache. In all major sports defense wins championships. The reason is that defense dictates how a game is ultimately played. Defense is a constant while offense can vary from game to game.

Only if I wanted regular season success and postseason failure.

Defense wins championships no doubt but IMO offense brings excitement and draws fans to the stadiums of mediocre teams.

I would certainly insist that my coach outscore opponents by at least seven points. If you're giving up 100+, that's pretty hard to do.
