Ok I admit I'm a rock newbie and accidently came across one of the best songs, rock or otherwise, that I've ever heard by Led Zeppelin -- Stairway to Heaven, while looking for some more Jimi Hendrix stuff. I heard Black Dog before but never knew the title and bought it along with Dazed and Confused. Listened to a couple of their other songs off the Mothership album. What are some of their other songs I should check out and similiar other rock song bands? Keeping in mind I'm not into the lawnmower rock, all over the place (Heavy metal)

Freebird was my favorite rock song before I heard Stairway to Heaven.

Freebird is one of the best Jams, of all time in my opinion.

Many of the WHO songs fit in that category as well!

Led Zeppelin II: Over half of the songs were wrote and performed by blues musicians before Led Zeppelin existed.

They were a great cover band!
