U of Miami Basketball hurting to sell tickets

Crazy promotion. Buy a ticket to tonite's game against Wake. If Miami wins get a free ticket to the next home game against North Carolina, if they win that game get a free ticket for the BC Game, if they win that game you get a free ticket to the NC State Game. If they win that game, get a free season ticket for next year.

Offering to give a free ticket against N. Carolina? That is crazy. That should be one of the hottest tickets and they have a small arena (5,000 or so)

It will NEVER happen and they will probably start by losing tonite.

Don't listen to me. I am a Gator fan, but since I am bombarded with the local sports teams I have a lot of information on the Miami team and I am usually pretty good at handicapping their games.

Small play on Wake tonite. However, I prefer to bet against Miami when they are laying too much chalk, not when they are getting points. They have been overlays for the last couple of home games (Maryland and FSU).

Miami is one of the worst sports towns in America. With that being said, it always difficult to sell tickets in towns where you have pro sports. Miami has all four. Seattle and UW are the only place that I can think that has done well with attendance being in a major city.

Slow economy combined with a team that is playing average ball, they want people to at least fill the stands.

Deseperate, but not a bad promo from the standpoint, they can stilll make parking money and concession money.
