I drove down to shreveport, la today and played mini bacarat at horseshoe. (My first time which I quite enjoyed). I played for 7 hours today, came home with 1300, so I'd call it a win day. Only thing I don't understand, I played at the 1 position, all other 7 seats were full and I only played my martingale system after 7 in a row- I then chased the other way. What I never could understand, I am white, all other players were asians, is that anytime we got 5 or 6 in a row, they started doubling down on the streak, and chasing the streak where as I did my progression the opposite. I won everytime, but as I did my progression, they looked at me funny as I was only one going that direction andf all of them were chasing the streak happening. Maybe I'm missing something in the game- can anyone explain why they do that?

Asian people in general are very superstitious. Simple as that. They looked at you funny because they were probably pissed off that you were betting against them.

Oh ok, maybe that explains it. I kept thinking to myself, its gonna turn, its gonna turn, and sure enough they kept loading up on the streak. I remember one time we had 11 players in a row, there must have been 8000 on player on the table, my measly 400 on the only banker and banker hit.

I need to read up on that game and see how it is svored, they kept flipping cards over and I never could figure out the count calculation. I'm gessing face cards were zero.

I congratulate you on your success.

I for one believes in betting WITH the trends. May it be baccarat, baseball, foosball... You get the idea..

I'm sure these people have figured out the best time for them to double up.. If not then that's why they are starring at you.. (God Like) ...

Just as a note... Don't be afraid to look at going with trends..

You can't beat baccarat, you can only lose. Especially when you don't even know the rules.

FE is Right. And in this game ( be it Mini baccarat or baccarat ) Which i play all the time.
You don't go against the grain.

And Yes, face cards and 10's count as 0

Of course you know everytime you Play on the Banker, you are paying a % back to the house.

Here is some small detail's that you can use when you play the Next time.

In Baccarat, cards 2-9 are worth face value, 10s and face cards (J, Q, K) are worth zero, and Aces are worth 1 point. Players calculate their score by taking the sum of all cards 10, meaning that after adding the value of the cards the tens digit is ignored. For example, a hand consisting of 2 and 3 is worth 5 (2 + 3 = 5). A hand consisting of 6 and 7 is worth 3 (6 + 7 = 13 = 3) - the first digit is dropped because the total is higher than 10. A hand consisting of 4 and 6 is worth zero, or Baccarat (4 + 6 = 10 = 0). The name "Baccarat" is unusual in that the game is named after the worst hand, worth 0. The highest score that can be achieved is 9 (from a 4 and 5, 10 and 9, or A and 8, etc).

It Does have it's advantages................

When baccarat is played with smart strategy tips, the House Edge has the potential of coming down to .6%.
Even if players do not even try using strategy, baccarat delivers a House Edge of 1.06%.
In order to get the House Edge down to below 1%, there are a few things to look for when choosing a casino to play baccarat at.

Although most casinos play baccarat with eight decks of cards and a 5% commission, sometimes it is possible to play baccarat during special promotions and tournaments that only use six decks and impose a 4% commission.
It is under these latter rules that players can take advantage of a .6% Casino Advantage. Even if you cannot find a game with these conditions, you can still play on in a smart way that will help you win more hands than not.

The Bank Hand offers a slightly lower House Edge than the Player Hand (even with a 5% commission) Even though the odds are 50/50 for either hand to win, it is smart to make the majority of your bets on the Bank Hand.

Pay attention to the amount of 4's and 6's leaving the deck. If you see more 4's coming out of the deck, the Bank Hand has a slightly better probability of winning. When you see more 6's coming out of the shoe, the Player Hand has a slightly better probability of winning.

Bet with a streak, rather than against it. If you notice at least three consecutive Player Hand or Bank wins, bet with the hand that is winning more often. When hands begin to balance out, change back to betting on the Bank Hand most of the time.
Do not keep up tie bets if the casino allows you. The House Edge is too high.

Always use money management skills when playing baccarat. This should entail setting yourself losing limits, as well as being comfortable with the stakes of the game. If you think the stakes are too harsh on your bankroll, consider playing mini-baccarat, which has smaller stakes, but gives the same odds of winning.

In Both case, if the first two cards come out to equal 8 or a 9
It's called a natural 8 or 9.

Yea asians kept saying "come on natural!" We couldn't draw the cards, but got to flip em. Those guys liked to lay their head on the table, barely bend it up, turn it, barely bend it, put their head dwn again, etc then show it. First 5 times was funny, but damn it got old quick and slowed the gm down
