I need some advice if anyone else has been concerned about this. I want to eliminate my activity with the internet on my work computer. Is it at all possible to do so? I feel like all these sites I read are scams with how to do this. I also think that all my activity is on the company's network so maybe there is no way to delete it anyway? Any thoughts from any IT gurus would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

Open Internet Explorer, Click on Tools, Internet Options, Delete and Delete all. That will remove it from the PC, but if your company has a recorder on, it's history.

Its just one of those stupid pop-ups that come on the screen.I try to click it off the screen to get it off but it instead directs me straight to the damn site. This happens every day.

porn porn and more porn...also...not to add to your worry...but if you were doing soemthing you shouldnt have been doing at work...someone has been looking at it already probably...because someone has a program that watches every move you make within the office...more for protection of vital company info than anything.....but it tells them exactly what you are doing and how long you are doing it for...good luck

there is honestly no deleting it the best thing is to go to your manager and tell him the problem you have on your computer, then it looks like your not hiding anything

he may still have a problem anyway...depending on wht hes doing...

may as well go to your boss and admit it...tell him you turned Christian and have been saved...that you are admitting all your mistakes now...

tell him if he would like to come to church with you,he is more than welcome...invite him over for dinner and a nice cigar...

then after he says yes...go find a church to take him to...preferably Southern Baptist

More than likely you're browser was hijacked. This is when you try to close a pop up window and then as you do the redirected website launches automatically. Doesn't have to be porn site, could be just an ad site. You have to get this cleaned out. Tell your IT guy and they will either clean the infection in the registry or take the easy way and re-image your computer.

Some parasites violate user privacy. They disclose user’s personal information to advertisers and even hackers. Malicious persons use browser hijackers to track user activity in the Internet, find out their victim’s name, contact information and even steal priceless identity data, which then can be used for unclear purposes.

Browser hijackers that are associated with pornographic resources set adult web sites as home or search pages. Such behavior not only shocks a user, but also may cause some serious troubles. There are real examples of people who have lost their jobs because of explicit content found on their computers at work.

Like other posters said, on a company domain, if you delete it on the local computer, the company server still has info on sites visited, computer activity and possibly recorded activity. Anything you do on your work computer is property and liability of the company so thats usually how they justify spying on your computer habits. Usually they will use this info against you if they have suspicions about you as an employee or if you're on a short list to be walked out the door. With so many layoffs, might not be a good time posting picks on TheRX or logging into your offshore sportsbook.

Now that I think about it, there may be some liability logging into a sportsbook being that the activity is supposed to be illegal. I'm not a lawyer but as an employer I would have a big problem with that...
