Would The Dallas Mavs Be Contenders If They Hadn't Traded Away Devin Harris?

Dallas has to be kicking themselves for giving him up in exchange for Kidd as Harris has become one of the best point guards in the league.

Either Devin didn't get the looks while with the Mavs as he does with NJ now, or he took the trade personal & it lit a fire under his arse....

I thought it was a dumb trade then and even more so now. Kidd was on his way out but Cuban wanted to take a stab at a last second playoff run and gave up the future for it. Dallas still wouldn't be a contender with him IMO but they'd be better then they are now with more hope for the future.

Give the Nets two years, they'll be back contending again.
Kidd was 2 years past his prime when traded, Harris is the real deal.
OK, everybody knew they were in for a let down tonight against Orlando, but recently they have been playing good ball, and will get better.

Agreed. The Harris trade was big as was the trade to the Bucks.
