Atlanta is trying to trade away Vick & his contract.

We all know what Vick did was wrong, but is he really "troubled" in ways that every team in the league is afraid of taking a chance on him............?

GM Thomas Dimitroff is throwing up a Hail Mary. Vick's contract runs through 2013, with a base salary of $9 million and a bonus of $6.43 million in 2009 alone. The rest of the contract is worth $45.11 million. There's not a team in the league that will take a chance on the troubled Vick at that price.

Raiders players were asked if they think the team should bring in Michael Vick when he gets out of prison.

Raiders fullback Justin Griffith:

"Would we like to see it? Yes. Would it add a whole lot to your offense? Yes, it would, man, but until it happens, you just imagine how it (would be)."

"If you look around the league right now, you don't see a whole lot of Mike Vicks out there," Griffith said. "You see good football players, but the things that he did when he was active in the league, it makes you shake your head, man, like, 'Wow.' "... I just hope that we get a chance to get him."

Raiders receiver Ashley Lelie:

"You have to sign him, if you're the Raiders," Lelie said. "Trust me, I've played against him before. You don't want him on the other team. I've seen what he can do."

Raiders cornerback DeAngelo Hall:

"Oh, yeah, definitely," Hall said. "I wouldn't have any second thought about doing it."

And lastly, offensive coordinator Greg Knapp:

"I love the way he had fun playing the game," Knapp said. "He was a hard worker, was on the path of understanding what it takes to be a quarterback in this league. So, he was making great progress when this unfortunate thing happened.

If he wasn't making so much, lots of teams would like him. It's not as much about character issues as it his his huge contract and whether or not he's even a real QB at this point.

the Raiders have nothing to lose!! and if Vick comes back strong he will be able to show off with them and after the season is over traded to a better team

Disagree, raiders would take a shot and might be a decent fit. No chance he plays in Dallas or as anything other than a QB in my opinion.

I'm really not even sure he will be at the level that makes him all that interesting of a prospect.

The Vick that beat GB @ the tundra in the playoffs? I am certain that guy is long gone.

No one wants Vick for his akward mechanics and poor accuracy and certainly not at that price tag.

any team that takes on that salary should fire everyone in front office and be forced to sell the team to a new owner.

All I can say is...there is nobody in the league that was more exciting that Mr Vick. I would put him at QB and all that stuff the Miami Dolphins are running now will be the same when Vick plays for whoever. He is difficult to stop.....

while they probably shouldnt, someone will give him a shot, just for the media attention, and the publicity....and the fact that its all a $$$$ game, and he does have talent..

I still get a kick about how there is such an uproar over Vick whose crimes involved killing dogs who were bred to kill, when no one even bothers Leonard Little who killed a person.
