Excel question

Hi,

I was wondering if it's possible to get the AVG from the set of numbers without it's MIN and MAX values. To make it clear I'll give you a specific example. Set of numbers:21, 13, 15, 34, 7, 22, 23, 15, 27, 29, 30. I want to get the average of those numbers without (MIN -in this case 7 and MAX -34. Is there any way of doing that??? Thanks

(sum - max - min ) / (count - 2)

There may be an easier way, but I think you could do this like so:

If your numbers are in the range A1:A20, this formula should do it:

=(sum(a1:a20)-max(a1:a20)-min(a1:a20))/(counta(a1:a20)-2)

those excel formulas give me trouble every time too...and i was a math wiz in school.....just takes me forever to get it right each time i set one up for my contests...but eventually i get there..
