their superbowl...their main event and it gets called like this with 50laps to go...can you imagine if the NFL called the SB winner after 3q's bc of rain...gimmie abreak...

seriously these clowns should be ashamed of themselves...it starts raining your in the stand you tell your buddy im going to take a piss and grab a beer...next thing you know fireworks are going off...oh time to go home...lmfao...

i hope the economy kills this fu-king "sport"...

i didnt bet a dollar on the race but i wanted to see them finish...if this is your marquee event it has to go the distance....dont care if you bring them back tomorrow with the stands half empty...the final 10laps woulda been incredible...

Did this not happen in the world series they were worried about a game being rained out after they had played 5innings and Selig even though I cant stand him said that they would have played the whole game even if they had to delay it until the next day

id be lying if i said i didnt have a few dollars on the race, won a couple lost a couple but the race shoulda been finished or at least a better effort put forth to finish at some other time. pretty lame if you ask me

I'm not really a big NASCAR fan bill, but these guys do have different forms of defense.

I'm not sure if you've ever seen the last couple laps of a race when the leader has a guy right on his tail or not, but I've seem some fun and amazing stuff at times in keeping that driver on his azz behind him.

You have to also remember these guys race in teams & have teammates.

In the same circumscances, you will see drivers team up to help each other in passing, drafting, or even like above, blocking other drivers for their teammate.

I know it's not exactly what you are referring to as defense as in other sports, but it does exist..... :toast:

I think your definition leaves out plenty of what I consider sports. What about surfing, skateboarding, motocross, rock climbing, I could just go on and on.....

And yes, I do think Nascar is a sport, the shittiest motorsport ever. You do need certain degree of physical training to win a race, the body actually experiences a lot of harsh conditions during a race (extreme heat, dehydration, long hours of being 100% focused, mechanical forces, a lot of shifting/braking/handling).

Golf not a sport. I totally agree there. I think sports have to be physically demanding.

Forget defense.

If it doesn't require you to have any cardiovascular activity and endurance. Yes, I understand you must be able to endure sitting in a car, but really doesn't matter if you are in great shape or not, it is not a sport.

Start the goddamn race at 12 noon like it traditionally is supposed to be started and not at 3:45 PM maybe you have enough time to wait out a rain delay. Or, use the fucking lights and wait out the rain. NASCAR sucks.
