So I dig the BSN Syntha-6 protein but their NO-Xplode product makes me tired as hell. Caffeine stuff in general makes me tired... not sure why but it always has.

Any recommendations for a replacement without so much caffeine? I have some Xyience NOX-CG3 that I like but it's almost empty and I didn't know if there is something better out there.

Thanks in advance if anyone knows anything about this stuff.

Just keep focusing on that steamy all-male group shower after your workout and it should keep you awake just fine.

sounds like your looking for a hot rox or black powder type supp(might have some caffeine). not to into the "muscle pump" vasodilator supps myself but if you haven't tried it yet beta-alanine is legit.

alanine is just an AA, unless you take an abundant amount of it it's not really used any differently than a simple protein. and if you do use it in an abundance, your skin will burn like a mother fucker. however, i have taken it but it gave me a skin burn along with what i caught of it in my diet. if you're looking to get big take a simple creatine monohydrate. NO Xplode has some forms of creatine in it but it's mostly just to make you jittery and amped up. superpump250 is a decent one. and check out controlled labs' green mag, also liked that one.

More info about what I'm trying to do since it looks like that might be important.

About 6'0" 180 right now. Was about 200 when I started working out but I do a ton of cardio as well so I'm definitely adding muscle with the weight loss... just getting rid of a ton of beer flab.

I'm thinking I want to put on 5-10 more pounds of muscle but don't want to get too bulky. Think basketball player and not NFL linebacker...

Also, my diet is weird. I probably only eat about 1000 calories a day plus the 600-800 of protein shakes and other supplement calories. Way under what I'm supposed to eat but I drink about every night so I get calories that way.

So yeah, gonna do both cardio and lift and want to put on 5-10 pounds and not get overly bulky.

Too be honest, I don't know the difference. I do have a ton of creatine pills laying around too that I haven't tried out yet.

One more question while I have you guys in here... my buddy recommended a testosterone booster. He says it makes him pissed off a little bit but works pretty well. I'm not gonna grow man boobies with that stuff am I? Balls are gonna be normal size?

Thanks for the help fellas.

Be careful with Superpump.

I've tried 4-5 of the NO products. Until you build a tolerance, Superpump will give you the superdumps. I'm talking mud.

Most of the NO powders have caffeine. Fast Twitch (CytoSport) has some non-caffeine flavors.

i didn't have that effect. works different with everyone, i guess. you build a tolerance to every NO supplement.

jake - stay away from the boosters. if you want to put on a few pounds, simple creatine monohydrate powder should do the trick if you follow directions and exercise the way you're supposed to. no matter what, you're still going to put on unwanted fat with the alcohol. just the way that it's stored. nano vapor is also a good product, but it has melatonin in it so it might make you crash (different with everyone, again). i recommend you cycle through and see what you like best. NO is an energy booster\vasodilator as someone mentioned earlier...also a focus factor. creatine is just the addition of what the body already makes, in powder form.
