If any of you that live in Texas are familiar with Corpus, can you tell me if it is a predominantly Spanish speaking area?

Also, is it a safe area or is it similiar to Laredo?

May have a possible job opportunity and wanted to find out about it before even considering my options.

Thanks,

ive been around in that area a few times, alot of spanish down there, but ive never had issues. I normally end up in south padre island, which is like 20-30 mins from the boarder. normally cross over when im down there, but havent been in about 2 years.

....I lived there for 6-7 years ... its not spanish they are speaking ..its more of tex mex spanglish.. great place though .. might be kinda hard to find work .. economy isnt the greatest there.. but with the port there is some job opps there .. i mainly worked in resturants and bars when i was there .... its fairly safe though again it depends on where you live in the city .. but the island is only 10 mins away and that would be the place to live .. right on the beach!!! good ole double c-town!!! :toast:

If you don't like Mexicans stay in Dallas the further you come south the more there are. CC is alright but not much to do and yes if you don't have a job there you might not want to go there to look for one.
