17 HRs 70 RBIs tops

Looks like Griffey will be the everyday LF with Endy Chavez being a defensive sub for the most part. If Griffey can stay healthy for 500 at-bats, I think he can still hit 25 out of that park even though his bat speed is way down.

It's a feel good thing but it's about ten years to late.

Mariners are owned by Nintendo, just think of all the superstars they had and let go.

No salary cap spend the damn money.

Why is this exciting? He's old, a liability in the field, and is becoming quite bad at the plate as well. Just hang 'em up, Junior. Stupid signing.

I was happy to see him in a Sox uniform.. not really too happy how long it took him to hit a homer.. watched every game until he did.. did see him hit that big 600 as a Red though last year

Mariners fans will give him a huge welcome when he arrives, I'm excited and think it's a great way to spend the last couple years of his career. If only the M's were even a little bit competitive it would be nice to see him get another playoff shot.

think this all stems from the interleague matchup when Cincy went to Seattle, and he got the rousing ovation, for minutes and minutes, that many werent sure he would get.....i think it got him wanting to go back.....its a feel good move at best, but makes a nice story

I think the Mariners will be suprisingly good this year

the m's could win 70+ games...

but lets face it...

this is a club that lost 101 games...

so anything positive will be good for 'em.
