There's many movies that should have stopped while they were ahead with the original & never considered a sequel.

Any come to mind that should have or you would have like to see a sequel that hasn't?

Not really what you were asking.. but the way the Sopranos ended only makes me want a Soprano movie even more.

How About

"Body Heat", one of my all time fav. crime genre. Wm Hurt character gets out of prison and tracks Kathleen Turner's character down. The only down side they were both great, and we'd have to have someone new in the rolls. They tried it w/Postman, but w/o Lana & Garfield something was missing. Trouble w/all my favs all the protagonists are dead or it's aleady been done. Heat, Silence of the Lambs, etc. How about a new western w/the Shane character?

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.
Leaving Tuco like that at the end left you wondering...how did he get out of those ropes?

I was going to say that I am surprised they never made a sequel to E.T., but after the rest of you mentioned Scarface, The Departed, The Sopranos, and The Thing, I thought twice about my kiddie movie.........lol

I was going to say Legend, The Dark Crystal, and Labyrinth if it makes you feel anybetter Hache.

Office Space.

I wouldn't necessarily need for the same characters to come back, just additional office situations.

Mike Judge generally doesn't do sequels though. I guess that means no sequel to Beavis & Butthead either.

HBO's Oz. .

HBO did a decent mini-series about lefe in a Mexian womens prison called Capadocia, if you are into prison sex and violence and can find it with subtitles you will probably dig it.

wall street, maybe ten yrs later or whenever Gecko gets out of prison

GG starts a hedge fund, but because of his previous criminal record is technically a "consultant" to the hedge fund. They make tons of money until the credit crunch sends the equity markets into a 50% decline, his long/short fund is exposed for being mostly long, losing 40%. However, he doesn't allow investors to redeem. Instead, he takes the cash and heads to Bora Bora where he runs into Bud Fox who is on his honeymoon. They start talking and decide that it is time for them to forgive/forget. They design a porno app for Iphone that becomes an instant hit. However, it turns out they've been using the hedge fund money to finance it. Apple turns over all computer records to the Feds who track down the IP address to Bora Bora. When they go to arrest GG and Bud, they also discover they have been using underage girls from Bali for their website.

This will setup Wall Street 3: Bud and Gordon's Glory Hole.
