HOUSTON - Free agent receiver Reggie Williams, Jr., who spent the last five years with the Jacksonville Jaguars, was arrested in Houston early Friday morning.

Police records show Williams was arrested at 1:59am. He has been charged with DWI and possession of .97 grams of marijuana, both class B misdemeanors.

Williams failed three field sobriety tests but refused to voluntarily provide a blood and urine sample, according to the police report.

The arresting officer did obtain a search warrant and obtained a blood specimen.

Williams was initially pulled over as part of a routine traffic stop according to the police report because he was unable to maintain a single lane of traffic and because he failed to signal he was changing lanes.

The report indicates Williams was cooperative.

Houston Police Department spokesman John Cannon confirmed Williams was arrested but did not provide any other details.

Williams agent, Doug Hendrickson, was not available for comment.

In five years with the Jaguars Williams caught 189 passes for 2322 yards and 18 touchdowns.
