I hear a lot about researching and doing your homework when betting. Of course i have tried to look up stats, records, and previous games played between the two teams to help me choose the better team. I still have not been making any money, at most winning a few bucks here and there. Most of my bets are local, there not online.
I am into betting college basketball, and maybe Im doing something wrong when researching, etc.
Where should I research? When? How?
Thanks in advanced.
Try by starting to look at the Matchups that The Rx has. Like if you want to wager on college hoops Go to the menu right under The Rx sponsored books. Go to NCAAB and select matchups. Right there you can read a game preview, the Matchup and, the supergrid on the game you would like to wager on.
Some things to look for is offense Vs. Defense. Look at past trends when the two teams have met in the past, and how they did Vs. each other. Also look at current preformance, like how those teams have done in there last few games.
When you are first starting out, look at it as a learning process. You are gonna make your mistakes. Like OMT said this takes a lifetime to master. When I first started out I looked at things way diffrent in year 2 then I did in year 1. Remember we all have access to the same info, and are looking at the same thing, in one form or another. Its the way we view this information that makes our plays. Like you can look at the same thing I am looking at and see things way diffrent then I do.
So just take it slow, look at your first 4 years of doing this like a college education. And you will become a better capper as time goes on. The most important tip I can give you is to learn BankRoll Managment, if you learn that early on you will save yourself alot of pain in the pocket book. Just search the forums and learn as much as possible and remember to have fun.
Thats it, welcome to The Rx and Good Luck to you. :drink:
