Beware of new computer virus guys..!!

got hit last night by some virus called av360 or a360 something like that...i have firewall and virus protection, but it wasnt enough...it looks like it come from windows security and looks legite, but man it sure corrupts a ton of files.....my comp is at the shop now, hoping they can recover it, and clean everything out, they siad they think they can....but it infects a ton of stuff..

If u have a spare 5 minutes, please google av360 virus, and read up on it, so u can avoid it happening to you guys...

just a warning.....

I am having to use the neighbors computer for a few minutes, so i could let Wil know whats going on, but wanted to warn you guys as well...

please take a look a this and be alert, so it doesnt happen to you..

It's not new. I had this a few months ago and malwarebytes just wasn't enough. I hope they find whoever (some Russians?) is spreading this and hang them up by their nuts.

SheBar almost pulled it in the other night via something that came in her email from her dumbass brother in law who's always forwarding all kinds of bullshit video clips

By the time she called me in, it was showing the bogus "Windows Security" window and asking to Run the Program. She knew she had fucked up and had closed out her yahoo email and then she's all, "I don't know how it happened"

Fortunately, I got it closed out and rebooted without triggering the virus program

I don't see the enjoyment that these guys get in sabotaging your computer with these viruses. Is it just to prove they can do it?

You'd think that someone who loves computer science so much wouldn't want to see others suffer by something they caused.

My wife got it to our computer. Just go back a few days in your configuration and you will be fine.

guys, it got me good....my techie buddy got rid of the virus from the computer, but it wiped out several dll files, and u can load windows now...he's still working on it, may have to reformat the whole thing...please beware of this...

5team, i couldnt go back.....that was the first thing i tried, was system restore, but i could get all the way to the final click of running it, and it wouldnt accept...the virus corrupted that as well...it blocked me completely from accessing anything on my control panel....kept saying system32dll not found, or something like that.....so i am on public computer right now, and still waiting to see if he can fix mine...i have one other person that i know said he'll just wipe it clean and reformat for me, i was just hoping it wouldnt come to that, but it appears that it will...

malware couldnt get rid of it for me either.....

I have it on my old laptop and it is a nightmare. It has complete controll of the computer and if you try to run any software that is for viruses it blocks it out.

dont really know how i got it....just started running on my system monday night all of a sudden...when i realized it, it was too late...

turns out, gonna have to reformat my whole system and wipe it clean, it corrupted too much stuff to save.....

let me tell ya how bad it is, I am using an old computer my neighbor had from a few years ago, so i can be here....i finally got it going and loaded up, thing is slow as shit....I am running on aol 5.0 (LOL)

cant even get it to load mozilla.....when i tried to log in here through aol kept getting script errors, etc....finally got in through IE, i think its IE 4 or something.....but at least I am here a little......supposed to get my computer back tomorrow or Friday after he reloads everything......what a mess....

I've Edited this post because the message that was placed with good intent is in fact a common Hoax message that is unwittingly passed by many people to their email lists

nhoj, i have had to have my whole computer wiped clean, and erased , and now reformatted...and my comp is only 2 years old...but it just basically screwed everything up....its nasty

I really hate to wipe it but it maybe the only option. I have alot of stuff I dont need on this laptop but a few file I do need and dont to infect my external HD. So if anyone reads or sees anything please post it here. I know I will need to get it on a cd it has disabled my internet.
