I have Windows Vista.
I have a primary account and a guest account.
My BillHill account (where my important files are at) I am having a hard time accessing because the CPU percentage is at 98-100 percent.
It takes 3 minutes to get a home page load.
Now the guest side seems to be performing OK, not at maxium peak, but OK.
I have gone to the usual geek sites for input, but I really am not getting anything helpful, except "you got a virus"
My wife says she experienced no problems last night, I went to log in this morning, and my network setting were changed (syslink) and I got this 100 percent CPU problem.
Both users were logged on, there seems to be a problem when both users are logged on for an extended period of idle time.

Guys I'm in the industry, and this one is kicking my ass. I'm checking out proceesses, the whole nine.

Any advice?

very similar things here. Let me know if you figure anythign out.

super slow to load IE and even get a home page. once loaded things speed up some. but to open multiple windows takes forever.

also takes a long time to delete cookies in the options...like there is lots of stuff building up. but why? I delete it several times a day.

I don't know but there's a new virus out where someone is using an Adobe Flash player update to infiltrate someone's computer and take control of it. Also some virus with people who use Myspace and Facebook. Don't know if it's the same but if you fall in this category, contact Microsoft ASAP

Guest side is performing, primary site is frozen like an iceberg.
Primary site has to have a bug, no two ways about it, identifing it is another thing.

A new virus after opening a 'postcard' fries your hardrive. Even if you know the person do not open it. They are working on a fix as we speak.

If you can press CTRL+ALT+DEL and open the task manager

Show the Processes

Expand it so you can see everything

Take a Screen Shot and Post it here.

I'll have a look, or google each of the Processes it will give you a clue of which file and which virus.
