Police Find 500 lbs. of Marijuana on Fabolous' Tour Bus

February 25, 2009 12:16 p.m. by Nick Neyland
A tour bus that had allegedly been used by hip-hop star Fabolous was pulled over by police following the NBA All-Star Weekend in Phoenix this week. Fabolous wasn’t on the bus when the cops pulled the driver over, but a haul of 500 lbs of marijuana was impounded by the police. That stash was going to keep someone very, very high.

Fabolous wasn’t on the bus at the time of the bust, but two men on board, Edward Thimas and Robert Morris, claim the weed and the cash belong to the rap star. The bus driver claims he was traveling to Boston to pick up "a rapper whose name he couldn't recall,” but it’s a wonder anyone can recall anything if they dived into the stash of cannabis on board.

Thimas and Morris both gave conflicting stories to the police and have been arrested on charges of possession. Fabolous, who is set to release his Loso’s Way album in April, hasn’t commented on the story and hasn’t yet faced any charges relating to the incident. [Boombox]

Arkansas police seized nearly 500 pounds of marijuana on the rapper’s tour bus the other day as it made its way east from the NBA All-Star Weekend in Phoenix.
According to the driver, the bus was allegedly escorting Fabolous (born John Jackson) to Boston to pick up “a rapper whose name he couldn’t recall,” theboombox.com reported.

The rapper was not on the bus at the time of the seizure, but two men were arrested. The duo - Edward Thimas, 52, and Robert Morris, 44 - claimed that Fabolous had loaded the weed into the locked compartment on the bus, as well as close to $6,500 in cash, which was confiscated by the cops.
Although both men agreed that the cache of pot belonged to the rapper, they gave conflicting stories when asked about details of the drug shipment to Boston.
The men were both arrested for possession, and it is unclear as to whether Fabolous has been questioned. Fab’s fifth album, “Loso’s Way” is scheduled for release next month.
Meanwhile, Lil Wayne may have enjoyed blockbuster success with his top-selling CD last year, but it likely won’t save him from a potential stint in the slammer.
A New York City judge ruled yesterday that a handgun found on Lil Wayne’s tour bus after a 2007 concert can be used as evidence at the rapper’s trial, which has been scheduled for April 20.
Lil Wayne, whose real name is Dwayne Carter, pleaded not guilty to gun possession and is free on $70,000 bail. He was arrested in July 2007 after a concert at New York’s Beacon Theatre . A police officer said she boarded the tour bus because she smelled marijuana and then saw him try to hide a gun.
Carter faces one count of criminal weapons possession and one charge of criminal possession of a loaded weapon. If convicted, the rapper faces a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison, said a spokeswoman at the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office.

Fabolous wrote one of the worst rap verses I've ever heard.

"When the time's right
Imma put this nine right
To the left side of yo head
And put yo mind right"

Rhyming right with right three times in a verse

Sometimes using the same word over and over again can sound cool if done right though.

I put a hole in his face so big, it almost took his whole face off
We 'bout to take position, ready for face off
Just like Dallas, in the superbowl, face off

See how much better that sounds? That was from an old Mobb Deep album

I can honestly say no one has ever asked me for a song by Fabolous. Is he relevant, besides the drugs?
