I think it was about the money at first. Hawaii is loserland as far as big events....cost of travel (for players, equipment, media shit, etc.)....hence the move to orlando...the week before superbowl is another way to build up the pro bowl into a super event (more $)
I think what it boiled down to is that if they move the probowl to the mainland (miami or alternating), then the players don't wanna go.....why the fuck would NFL peeps wanna go to indy or chicago after their season is over (summer vacation for NFL players) and freeze their asses off. I have heard many people (Ray Lewis, Peyton, a few others) say that they wouldn't go to the probowl if it wasn't in hawaii....
in actuality, here is how it goes......
Peyton Manning: Honey, I just got invited to my 15th ProBowl, they will be paying me about $20.00 for this one, $25.00 if I win. But they will also pay for hotel and travel for our whole family.
Mrs. Manning: Really? Where is it this year?
Peyton Manning: At the frozen tundra....Brett should be there and he will show us a good time.
Mrs. Manning: Fuck that shit, we are going to Hawaii and hit some sun....pro bowl or no pro bowl....you decide if you want your ass frozen or if you want to finally spend some fucking time with your family.
Peyton Manning: Okay, I'll give Roger the bad news
