earl, wow, this topic is just insane, Depends on ho wmuch loose $$ you have,, Lets put it this way, If you dont have 100G? give it thefk up. and put your monies into a few vanguard funds. They are noload, and dam reputable,,,

Asknng how to daytrade is tantemount to coming into the offshore and saying who is the best capper here that wins at a 65% clip year round??

Many ways to do it, and all very technical, If you ask SSI, or ask a more technical question I think more could help.

As Tate said, you need a large bankroll(minimum $30,000 imo) to have even a fighting chance.

Have day traded on and off for 15+ years and it's not for the faint of heart. It makes bad beats in sports look like tiddlywinks.

With a 30,000+ BR, expect 1500.00+ swings in minutes at certain times..........

INVEST/DABBLE/PLAY with money you can afford to lose, because there will be about a 98.4% chance that you will when getting your hands wet.

Having said the above, it is a great rush when your riding a winner, and will probably be for you more than any type of "gambling" you have been involved with............and make no mistake about it, this is "gambling".

Be careful in this environment. First off, be sure you don't get killed in commissions. Second, continue to get a feel for a handful of stocks and how they move during the day. If you are only looking to make a few cents/few bucks per share per trade, best thing to do is ride the momentum, both on the long and short side. A bankroll is definitely needed. Be sure not to hold to big a position over night if you expect to sleep.

Procede with caution and BoL.
