You see a lot of these acts that have no chance of passing this time of year. Frank can go back and tell everyone he did all he could do. I hope I'm wrong.

what do you think it will do if it passes?

Until a Neteller comes along, nothing. If they were smart, they would pass it, and tie it to the Vegas casinos if they are hurting so bad.

personally speaking, make my whole life a lot easier.

Mostly concerned with another Neteller type company coming back into the fold so I don't have to go stand in lines to deposit and w/d money a few times a month.

Also would be nice to see a line and hit it at a book I don't have money by just clicking a few buttons.

Bonuses would be nice to also add to my bottom line. Free money that would make the whole game a lot easier then it is nowadays.

Do you guys honestly think that the USA will legalize online sports betting? Im not talking poker...I am talking being able to login to an onshore or offshore book...and making a wager...also, the USA allowing paypal or WU or MG to legally allow gambling transactions...you guys think?

That isn't what I was talking about.

It's not about legalizing it. The question is will they lift the ban. if they do that then don't be surprised if a Neteller company steps up.

I can promise you poker will be legal very shortly GUARNATEED. The key question is what and how they allow money to move around.

Sportsbetting was never "legal" before and everything was fine. It doesn't need to be legalized.

they arent lifting any ban unless they decide to regulate...

especially in this economy

you think they are gonna go back to the way it was and allow all that money to leave here?

poker legal?

how?

how will they change what is going on now to legalize it?

if they legalize poker...you might as well legalize sportsbetting...because the books will find a way to move that money around...bank that

No because the congressmen are in bed with the sports leagues, especially the NFL and NCAA.

I seriously doubt Barney can get regulation through right now.. To much on the agenda to debate how to regulate it.

There is a chance he could get the UIGEA revoked. He's on the finance or banking committee or whatever and could probably pork it into an unrelated banking bill. No one would want to step up and let Citi or BOA fail as they debate the UIGEA. Would be easy to add it and say banks just dont have the dollars to enforce this now.

Even if this happens, it likely means little. Neteller's founders were prosecuted for breaking the law pre UIGEA.

The thing that would matter would be if the DOJ lets the BOS founder go. It would signal the end of stalking the world. This could happen. This administration does not seem to be against betting.

Why does it seem that way to you? Who said what to make you think that?

You know what's strange about neteller? My personal online banking runs through a variation of their site. The URL is right there after I log in, plain as day.

Still looks like my bank's site. But has neteller in the URL.

most likely reason bills like this get started is to be used a leverage further down the road on a bill that is really important.

this gambling 'issue' is a pawn. banning gambling on the internet is very important to many groups for various reasons, some of those reasons are financial others are moral.

there are two ways to gain a groups support, one is to cater to that groups wishes (kyl) the other is to threaten to destroy that groups wishes (frank)

so now we have a bill threatening these groups thus giving frank a little leverage at some point in the future.

Legalizing online gambling would the worst thing that has EVER happend to the US economy. Can you imagine how many people would love their life savings in the online casinos and slots???

Imagine all of the retired grandmothers spending their SS checks the day that they receive the cash.

I am all for just keeping it the same as it is today.

THE ONLY PEOPLE WHO BENEFIT FROM A LEGALIZATION ARE THE ONLINE CASINOS!! And they would see profits through the roof.

Or cause billions to be lost to online casinos which is what would happen. All of our money would be sent to other countries.

Talk about bankrupting America. The corruption in the online casino industry would reach a new high. There would NO NEED for any more internet scamming since all one needs to do is open an internet casino and just make money daily with no risk.
