Is The Game Of Tennis Just As Hard To Learn As Golf?

The game of tennis is VERY TOUGH to learn, no doubt.

But could it be said that it's equally as tough as the game of golf, but since it has a smaller base of people playing it compared to golf, a swing on your serve isn't talked about as much as people you hear people discussing their swing on the golf course?

IMO, I dont even think its close.

Its much much easier to be consistent in tennis than Golf. Plus, its easier to build skill because being bad at Tennis when you first start, isn't near as bad as beginners are at golf. It helps to grow confidence...

This is coming from someone who played tennis regularly, and tried to pick up Golf last year, and failed miserably, and went right back to tennis...

Also a much cheaper hobby!

to me not even close. tennis has a much bigger error area. tennis you are just playing against some one else if you play somebody equally as bad as you you have a chance if you cant square up the clubface you are fu cked

Tennis is 100 times easier to learn IMO.

I was kind of basing my question on playing a little of both, and I seemed to pick up driving the ball in gold & a proper swing sooner than I could serving the ball in tennis.

I suppose everyone's different.............

Golf is MUCH harder to learn to get to the point where you can play and have fun. It doesn't take too much time learning tennis to be able to at least have fun playing it.

They may be equally hard to master, but it takes a long time to get good enough at golf to have fun playing it.

Serving is a little tough at first but once you get the proper form down and repeat it over and over you'll eventually be able to pinpoint it with speed. I had only a spin serve my first few months before adding on a fastball that's hard as hell to return. Only goes in like 50% of the time but it's usually for an ace. I've golfed for years and still can't do crap.
