If you want to buy a front-row seat at the new Yankee Stadium for an individual game, the list price of a ticket is $2,625.Individual game sales for the first season of the $1.5 billion ballpark start Tuesday, and the Legends Seats that ring the infield start at $525 a game, according to the team's Web site. Those seats cost $500-$2,500 as part of full season tickets, and they include food and soft drinks.

Other field level seats cost $95, $150, $275, $300, $350 and $375. Then comes the Delta Sky360 Suite, where tickets are $375-$800, and main level tickets, which are priced at $60, $80, $95 and $150.On the top deck, seats in the Jim Beam Suite go for $130-$150. Terrace seats are $50, $75 and $85, and grandstand tickets cost $23 and $30. Full view bleachers are $14. The Yankees said last summer that they had sold 3,500 of 4,300 premium seats as part of season plans, but sales slowed when the recession intensified.

They had an open house last weekend to try to sell more seats. Across town at the Mets' Citi Field, where individual game sales began last weekend, the Mets have 35 categories of tickets, each with five levels of prices that vary depending on the opponent, day of the week and month. The Mets' top tickets, which sold out as part of season plans, are priced at $295-$695 and average $495. Their lowest-priced seats go for $11-27.

Who wants to go? We could take a second mortgage out on my house and maybe get close enough to catch a foul ball. Which is worth it to me.

With the economy the way it is I look for the attendance at MLB games to take a big drop this season. Just to many games and ticket prices are to high.

Go to Citi Field and at least see the Mets win a championship this year....Yanks are lucky to be third again in AL east...bad fielding, poor situational hitting and who knows how Sabatthia will resound to NY and if Burnett can go without getting hurt....Jeter another year older....ARoid :ohno:

Haha, I don't know how you can say this win we all know the Mets will crack again in September.

easy to say about the mets but they really filled the bullpen.....this kid Murphy can play and Castillo looks reborn....they will rest Wright and Reyes more to keep them fresh for the stretch run...the Marlins can pitch along with the Braves now so that division will be more competitive....

They won 89 games last year in by far the toughest division in baseball and that was with numerous injuries and Moose as their best pitcher now you say they won't finish above 3rd with the off season accusitions?? Have you been sniffing glue?

I think the Mets should win the NL east without a problem, the pen has what it was sorely missing last year, if they would have been healthy the phils would not have even won the division.

Hey listen I don't sniff glue...I haved watched the Yankees for years....right now there is no team speed....Posada can't throw...they have 3 DH's...Their core is old....Jeter, Pettite, Posada, Rivera, Damon...do you want an outfield defense of Damon, Cabrera, and Nady??? Theier infield The kid Gardner can play maybe...Swisher, Matsui....cmon....who's sniffing glue...they can hit some at best with the Texiera addition...remember....ARoid is out for now and they probably will do well until he gets back...then for sure they will go down...he is the ultimate jinx...those are facts....not assumptions....I bet the Yanks under 94.5 I'd be suprised if they won 90....gone are the Torre days....

You want a-rod facts here they are....since 04 he has 596 runs, 869 hits 616 rbi's 208 hrs and a 306 ba. not to mention the 2 mvp's. Jinx??? No pitching was the jinx along with the injuries. I feel this year is a walk in the park for them.

ARoid has lost everywhere he played....he is a loser....he is horrible for team chemistry....he's quite a selfish person and it permeates the playing field...here are some playoff stats....

10 Postseason Series 3-7 39 147 21 41 9 0 7 17 17 38 .279 .361 .483 4 3 1 0 2

He's a great stand alone player...great for a big homer when they are up by 5 or down by 8....check him out....look beyond his stats....I can't tell you how many times I watched perform like that...read Joe Torre's book...without saying it he implies how selfish ARod really is...

Over 15,000 second deck seats (front row on up) for the AMERICAN LEAGUE CHAMPION RAYS are just $10 a game.

We anticipate no drop at all in 2009 attendance.

Something tells me the Rays franchise "gets it". A "average Joe" could actually take his family out to see a ballgame, AND it would be a great product on the field.
