PPP- You are dead on and I have every Smiths album. There was such variety and originality in this genre' of music. There is no more originality and no good alt/rock that has voices anywhere close to Brian Ferry (imho).I was on a cruise last year and they had music trivia. One of the questions was who was known for their "Jingley" guitar riffs and style. I answered Johnny Marr. The answer was (I think) Eric Clapton or something like that. People looked at me and said who the fuck is Johnny Marr? I got up and left because I was right LOL
