I posted this in an electronics forum, but thought I would take a shot in the dark over here since all I had to do was copy and paste the message.

When I push the on button on my Sirius radio, it starts, but after 4 seconds, it turns off, then turns on again. This continually repeats.

I called Sirius customer service and they told me the box was losing power.

The radio is attached to a boom box.

I tried removing it from the box and clean the connectors, but same problem. Also put the plug in another outlet, but same problem.

You can check your sleep mode and make sure that's disabled to see if that has any effect. I have 2 radios, one for several years, and I've found out the equipment is not the best. I noticed that the radios get pretty warm, so for future reference I wouldn't push the unit flush into the boom box. That can't be good for the radio getting so hot like that with no air circulation. I Have a boom box myself and I don't push it in. It's not necessary to do so to play.

I have my sleep mode set for 45 minutes. Not often but a couple of times after the radio shuts down I had it go back on again.
