Let me first say this:

The Rx.com is in no way responsible for any financial matters or making rulings regarding disputes in this pool. The RX has no responsibility with this pool whatsover. Any participants involved from the RX are on your own should any disputes arise. Should a technical problem involving the site arise that effects a deadline or any other facet of the pool the Rx will not be held responsible.

I thought this would be cool to pass on as it is only $20 but as all of you degenarates know a little action, even on a golf tourney, can make things interesting. Here it is (and by the way I am not Matt but he said he thought it would be cool to post, so I got his blessing as well). Click on the website for all the information including sample brackets, number of players, tournament info etc. Use this thread to let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Welcome to the 2009 Majors pool.

This pool covers all four majors along with The Players Championship. This way it will be ongoing throughout the summer with a different tournament each month. The rules are simple and the upkeep on your part is minimal.
• Cost per entry is $20.
• Each participant will have five golfers for each tournament.
• There will be one golfer chosen from each of five brackets. The groupings are based on a combination of world rankings, field size and playing status factors.
• Once you make your choice of golfers, those players are locked in for the tournament and cannot be switched (unless a WD occurs before play starts). You can keep the same golfers for the next tournament as long as they are still within the same bracket or you can choose new golfers when the new brackets are released prior to the next tournament.
• Your score is based on prize money earned by each golfer. If any or all of your golfers miss the cut, you will receive no money toward your score. Obviously you want all of your golfers playing the weekend. The most prize money earned after all five tournaments is the overall winner.
• This year there will be a prize for each tournament winner as well but the amount is still to be determined as it will be based on participation. So whoever finishes with the most total prize money at the end of each single tournament (not carryover) will get a cut of the pot.
MONEY MUST BE RECEIVED BY APRIL 8, 2009 TO PLAY. No late payments…I learned my lesson last year.
• You can pay the $20 either through PayPal on the website or send me a check.

• You will be making the picks on the website and everything will be updated on there to make things relatively easy. Basically, your job is simple…pick good golfers. Again, the tournaments consist of the four majors along with The Players Championship. The deadlines to turn picks in will be:
The Masters – Thursday April 9 at 7:00 AM
The Players Championship – Thursday May 7 at 7:00 AM
US Open – Thursday June 18 at 7:00 AM
British Open – Wednesday July 15 at 10:00 PM
PGA Championship – Thursday August 13 at 8:00 AM
(Times subject to change)

The newly categorized brackets will be sent out a week before each tournament. Winnings will be determined based on the number of participants. 1st, 2nd and 3rd place minimum.

from the email invite there were only 50-60 names. I would think 100 or so is my guess..I play in a few other pools where there are 700-800 people. Not fun to me. One of the golf pools where you pick the winner of every tourney BEFORE the season starts (and you can only use the person once) 78 PEOPLE PICKED DUSTIN JOHNSON TO WIN PEBBLE WTF???

Once you register you get his email updates of the pool.

One of the best weeks of the year..Masters Week. The brackets are up for those that have joined. There is still plenty of time to enter. $20 bucks for all 4 majors come on peeps..I looked at the first bracket and how could you not pick Tiger. I picked Paddy in another pool but he is in this bracket as well. Should be fun..

Good luck VD and TheCooler..let me know what you picked once the tourney starts.
