Questions for MLB cappers

Im sure most of you dont know me because I never ventured into this forum. But Im looking for advice. Because my capping method is all about numbers I feel that I can cap any sport. I could be wrong ( i usually am). I know absolutely nothing about baseball. In fact I dont even consider it a sport. Its a game in my opinion. Big difference. But Im sure I am wrong there too. The truth is I got interested in NBA and CBB towards the end of the season. THe reason this happened is because I have always loved sports and gambling but never picked my own games (yes I do feel like an ass for this). Then one day I got to thinkin! I have been working with numbers for a living being a mortgage broker for 13 years. I can make numbers work in any way shape or form. So I put a pencil to it and took it from a mortgage brokers point of view. God damn it worked! Didnt do so bad my first year and next year will be off the hook with all that I have learned. And I discovered this half way through the season. Now I want to take a shot at baseball. But I have no clue how gambling works with it. Can someone point me in the right direction of where to find stats ? Although I know nothing about this game I do know alot about numbers. If you guys could tell me anything about capping baseball it would be greatly appreciated. Can you bet the 2nd half of games somehow? Much respect for the RX. THanks in advance for your help. Starting pitching era more than wins and losses, home and away splits can't win consistently betting -150 or higher everytime. Pitching and home record usually determine the lines recent trends determine the totals. You can't get in too much trouble betting totals betting big faves can make a winning record a losing proposition. Road team -150 or higher is an automatic no no.

Bases is like a chess match and if you didn't play as a kid and not enthralled by the game it is hard to handicap.

You have to think like the manager thinks,Tony Larrusa is a numbers guy as being an A's fan I know this.

He always talked about numbers i.e batter vs pitcher and so forth.

Must be nice to have the match up stats handed to you by stat geeks that are on the pay roll.
