New to baseball betting...

A couple of the ML bets I have made shifted drastically in payot (Pit, Sea). Is it better to hedge these or just ride them out?

Thanks

It depends on your goal at the end. Remember, if you got those bets at great prices that now has gone away, it *may* show you have the right line as others push them down (in agreement).

Some people rather to get a guaranteed profit (I do that sometimes, too) and they'd go to the other side, figuring out how much they want to put on each side to make it worth the 2nd bet.

Some don't like to bet the "other side" because you are paying juice twice to the regular book, but even they can't argue if you do guarantee a profit either way.

I would let it ride. That is unless your adjusted analysis has shifted and shown significant value on the other side due to injury etc... In that case, you would double down on the other side essentially nullifying your original play (minus juice) and creating your new adjusted play. Outside of that event, and it just seems your play is losing edge, letting it ride will save you money in the long run since you can still win at a range within the posted ML giving you an avarage loss of half the juice in the long run. Covering your play guarantees you the loss of the full juice over the long run

Your bet size should be very small to you overall bankroll. Therefore, you do not need to hedge daily plays. What you should be trying to do in sports is beat the closing number. If you do this consistently, you will win in the long run.
