Sooner or later I'm going to be accused of being a homer for
posting about the Sox, so let's just get it over with.

Becket looked good today with 10 strikeouts over 7 innings
against Tampa. Varitek and Pedroia both hit home runs in a solid
5-3 win. Future MVP Youkilis goes 2-4.

Go Sox!

Sweet. I had to miss the game. Some questions about Becks coming in glad to see he could put it down.

festering, how did you guys manage getting to open up at home vs us (Rays)?

Shouldn't we as American League Champions had the luxury of opening at home?

Was following today's game via the Miracle of my Walkman while working. Rays radio crew said the MLB schedule is drawn up in June of previous year.

So last June, there were probably a lot of people who thought the Red Sox might actually win the AL

Kinda like some people here in April 2009

They should form a Klub and drink together in October when Sox are at home watching the MLB season finish up in some other city.

I would not be a true Red Sox fan if I didn't think that the
Red Sox had a great chance to go all the way this year.

Their pitching staff looks mighty tough...

Many conspiracies against Boston by the home plate umpire tonight. This game is under review.

The baseball schedule is computer generated.

p.s. This Yankee fan wishes the Red Sox well this season.
I married a Red Sox fan, so it's all good.

Should be helpful when you start facing teams with more wimpy lineups.

The Rays are making that DiceK look like a real Party Bunny

I will cease with the Daily Mockery when

a) The Red Sox rally today and whip our ass

or

b) Until Apr 30, when they visit the Trop

And so it goes......

The Red Sox have played like garbage the last two games. You would think they would motivated to play against the team that ended their season last yr?

They're simply being baffled by the best pitching staff in MLB

TUESDAY, Apr 14

Based on last season's numbers and first couple outings this month, it would appear that whatever mystery DICEK posed to American League batters in his first season has long been solved

His WHIP going back to early last year is pushing 2.00

Even more disconcerting to Sox fans is the fact that Youkilis
is almost the only player on the team batting above .200.
