This game takes place at 1:10 PM. Here we have the Mets taking on the Marlins. Florida comes in with a 2-0 record and is averaging 10 Runs per game against lefty starters here in the early going. However, I think that all comes to an end. Why? Johan Santana. In my opinion, he is like Pedro Martinez in his prime. Obviously, he is left-handed instead of right-handed, but that change-up is deadly. Florida also brings in a good pitcher in Josh Johnson, but I give the edge to Santana. Santana's final start of 2008 was against Florida and in that game he went 9 innings (rare for a starter these days) and he pitched a 3 hit complete game shutout. Even more important for the Mets is the fact that if they win today then they will have the same record as Florida even though the Marlins started out 4-0. If the game is a piching duel I think the Mets high-priced bullpen will give them the win in a close game.
