In baseball?

Okay, I know the answer. Cause people don't express money management, make stupid wagers, yada yada yada. However their lines are unbelievable for some teams.

I'm working on an betting via arbitrage (shopping for lines so you guarantee profit), and every baseball game features a 5dimes line.

I went through the results yesterday and found out what your record would have been if you had just taken the 5dimes line.

10-3 +7.61 units. Compare that to arbitrage betting, where you'd be +0.43 units (but risk free!).

I'm not sure this trend will continue, but I'll wait and see before implementing my arbitrage. I'll post what I see today and see if the 5dimes lean holds true. Gotta get a power nap in before the 1:00 games.

You might try betus for lines in the opposite direction. Lines seem consistently skewed.

I looked at this yesterday. Seemed easy to find underdogs at bookmaker with higher odds than the fav. @ 5Dimes. In order to make something though the underdog would have to win.

Would you have to have to a few thousand in both accounts and have your bets sized around 300 in order to have enough $$ in the one that lost that you would not have to resupply it on a daily basis?

Power naps do NOT work.

Thanks for the tip on BetUS. 5dimes was sharp with their lines today, I saw no opportunities to bet both sides today.

Also it didn't help that on SBRlines all of 5dimes' lines were appearing as -9999 (WTF?!?!).

Here's one right now.

5dimes: Cubs -126
BetJamaica: Brewers +129

The hypothetical play would be the Cubs.

so if you lay 252 on the Cubs @ 5dimes and then what that pays out is what you put on the Brewers @ BetJam you have no risk. You get your money back if the Cubs win and you make a little if the Brewers win?

You would lay $100 on the Brewers @ BetJamaica at +129.
Then you would lay $127.67 on the Cubs @ 5dimes at -126.
Guaranteed profit of $1.33.

However what I was finding was that on these games, you would simply take the 5dimes side, as that went 10-3 and you're not making .58% per bet.

Lines keep changing, now it's -129 on the Cubs @ Matchbook and +136 on the Brewers @ BetJamaica.

Closing line on 5dimes was Cubs -130, you could hedge it on Matchbook taking the Brewers for +136.

I was looking around and books weren't even taking wagers on the Cubs at the end of the game. Matchbook went up to -242, ehorseX (I know, crappy book, but you can track it) went up to -232. This was after offering low juice on the Cubs (less than -130).

I was always curious if that would set up a redflag at 5dimes if you bet to the penny on that weird amount of $127.67. I've heard of too many people getting their limits cut over there. I do it all the time at matchbook because they don't care what you bet as long as they make a commission

I'm going to start tracking this after going 3-1, in addition to the 11-4 record here. This seems like it may make people some money.
