Hey Professor, I think KC is a best bet on today's card. I know I know, the Royals, I trust Ginsu salesman more, but today I'm buying a set from KC.

KC turning out to be a great play! And whats not to trust in a guy going door to door selling knives..... I guess that is pretty creepy.... I might have to pick up an application.

1-0 Yesterday
4-5 YTD -3.35 units

Looking at the night games, there are two that I like, with one lean, but a no play as of yet.

Houston +104 (1.5 to win 1.6)
Hampton has traditionally been very tough for the Pirates to hit and I expect more of the same. Berkman has absolutely mashed Ohlandorf.

Milwaukee (or, according to Alice Cooper, Mil-e-walk-a) -139 (2.8 to win 2)

Looper was pretty damn good against the Cubs, look for him to have a little more control (not as many walks) as he looks to get a revenge victory at home against Cincy.

Have a lean on Fla/Atl under 8.5 @ -120 but can't pull the trigger as I'm not great on over/under plays. Please give some info on this game if you have any.

GL to all!

2-1 Yesterday +1.4 Units
6-6 YTD -1.95 Units

An early look for today:

Florida +115 (2 to win 2.3)
Anibal Sanchez is on the bump for Florida and I really like him to help lead the Marlins to a victory today against an unproven Kawakami. I really think Florida can beat anyone in baseball right now, and I'm going to ride their hot start until they prove me wrong.

GL, and more to come.

Alright, good to start the day on a winning note. Next game:

Washington +120

I like Washington to get their first W today because they have seen Blanton many times and have done relatively well against him as a team. Martis has been nothing to write home about at any point in his professional career, however, he's at home in a situation where the Nat's NEED to start the series out with a win. Overall, this is a gut play for a small amount.

Yesterday 2-0 +3.5 Units
YTD 8-6 + 1.4 Units

Good to have an undefeated day (although it was only 2 teams...)! One play for sure, will continue looking tomorrow a.m.

4-17
San Diego +140 (1.5 to win 2.1)

I like the Fathers here because I think Young will come out pitching well, staying on a hot streak against the East. He has pitched great this season and there are no indications that he will start pitching bad now. Hammels is in the complete opposite position. He says he's 100%, which I hope, for Phillies fans, is a lie after seeing his last outing.

The value is there to make this a decent wager.

Adding:

Yankees -215 (3.2 to win 1.5)

Don't usually take the heavy favorites, but I don't see how the Yanks get beat today. Although the Indians have had only a few at bats against Chamberlain, the fact remains they haven't touched him for a hit yet. I see Joba dominating this game for a multi-run beat down.

Also playing run line (1.1 to win 1).

Another play may be coming....

Cubs -185 (3.7 to win 2)

I know, I said I usually don't play this much chalk, but my bud DonnieFlapjacks is on them and he loves the play and so do I. I'm a Cubs fan so its hard for me to play for/against them but Big Z will look to even up the series today.

Series Bet:
Padres over Philly for Series +220 (1.5 to win 3.3)

Again, I think they win tonight, Chan Ho Park slated to pitch tomorrow I believe and they have a great shot of beating him too. Great value is what I'm looking at here.

Plays for 4-18

Yesterday 3-2 +2.6 Units
YTD 11-8 +4.4 Units

Good day yesterday, got lucky on a few plays but on the right side of lady luck! Today I am playing WAY less chalk (I was sweating all the chalk yesterday and it almost took a big bite outta my wallet....).

San Diego +158 (2 to win 3.2)

The value here is just too good to pass up. We have a Padres team that finds ways to win, like last night when they beat Philly's ace at his home park. Myers has given up the LONG ball a lot this year, and I think the Fathers have a really good chance to win this ball game.

Cubs -130 (3.3 to win 2.5)

I like the Cubs here because their most productive hitters (Lee, Ramirez, Soriano, Soto, Theriot) have mashed Lohse in the past. Dempster is great at home and I think this game is not nearly as close (or exciting) as yesterday's game. Again, hate to bet with the heart, but I really like the Cubs to win this game.

Josh Johnson and the Marlins handle business against the lowly Senators, oops, I mean Nationals, whoever the politicians want to throw out there, there terrible, and a best bet against them today.

Yeah, the more I look at it, the more I want to play it. Just nervous about when (or if) Washington is going to wake up.

Adding:

Florida -166 (2.5 to win 1.5)

Lets do this!
