its inevitable...

i look at those managers under tremendous pressure to win...

guys like girardi, manuel, and piniella...

but i am going with jim leyland as the 1st manager to get fired this season...

dombrowski did not give him an extension...and he may want to go in a diff direction...sooner rather than later.

I would go with Girardi if they don't start playing better soon. Too much spent in the offseason to be under .500.

I have to say Eric Wedge. No pitching, no hitting, no bullpen. I think he lost his team after the playoff run.

Acta is a good manager in an impossible situation.

My prediction is the Astros' Cecil Cooper. He's terrible.

They had a poll on local sports radio about how long Wedge would last. I think he gets the hook in the next few weeks.

Dark Horse Candidate:

Eric Wedge

verlander's resurrection may have saved leyland's ass...

one month into this grinder...

&

i am changing my vote to your dark horse...

the indians are playing some terrible ball...

someone is going to have to fall on the sword...

wedge looks to be in some trouble now.

Eric Wedge vs Acta....

Girardi is definitely looking over his shoulder...

i think the bowden stuff may save acta from being first to the block...

but this was a good call on your part viejo...:toast:

15-33 is the combined record of those two clubs' skippers to date.

The heat is on him now and the Media is starting to warm up to this.Since the Cavs are in the playoffs they are getting most of the Press and the Browns draft is getting some play around here also.If they dont improve in the next 2 weeks he is gone as the attendance is way down and the Dolans need to do something

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Trey Hillman became the first manager to get fired this season when the Kansas City Royals let him go Thursday after a final win.
Former Milwaukee Brewers manager Ned Yost, who had joined the Royals' front office in January, immediately took over the team.
The Royals made the move after beating the Cleveland Indians 6-4, a win that left Kansas City at 12-23 and last in the AL Central.
The 47-year-old Hillman was in his third season with the Royals after managing for five years in Japan. Kansas City went 75-87 in 2008 but then dropped into a last-place tie in 2009 at 65-97.
Yost managed the Brewers from 2003-08, when he was fired late in the season with the team in the playoff race. The Royals hired him last winter as a special adviser for baseball operations.
