Alright went 5-1 Yesterday hitting with two dogs as well in Seattle and Houston. Today's Early games have caught my eye again. I normally don't like playing em, but if the books want to give us cash...Shit we'll take it.

Early Plays:

Houston @ Pittsburgh 12:35 ET
Play: Pittsburgh -125

Jeff Karstens takes the hill today after his initial start got rained out. He's a guy the Yanks sent to Pittsburgh for Nady deal. He's in his third year and had a good spring. It's important to bet guys early in the year when the team isn't as bad. They have the feeling they can win. With Pitt coming in 4-4, they feel they can win. Houston on the other hand is 2-6 and trying to build some momentum even though they won last night.

Many players will see Houston's win last night and jump on the wagon with a well known face in Russ Ortiz. The Problem with Ortiz is he's facing some hitters that Enjoy Ortiz's pitching. Ortiz was also forced to pitch on the 13th and 8th in which he got hit hard against the Cubs.

Jack Wilson .412
Vasquez .313
LaRoche .333
MClouth .500 (4 AB)

.362 As a team..

St. Louis @ Chicago Cubs 2:20 ET
PLAY: CHICAGO CUBS

These are two of the elite teams in the Central and should be playing each other in the end. Today's game matches Wainwright vs Marshall. The Cubs lost yesterday with Harden on the mound to an underated Rockies team. St Louis has played solid ball to this point with there pitching leading the way. Their hitting has been spectacular as well.

They've won six games vs AZ who hadn't been hitting at all and Houston who hadn't been hitting at all. One of the games they've lost was too LEFTY DUKE. Today they face another lefty in Sean Marshall. Marshall isn't a stud but he's decent and the Cubs at home are always good. Two major reasons for the play. (1) St. Louis vs Righties are hitting .340 vs Lefties .248. Big Difference. At Home Cardinals are .310 and on the road .256 away.

Marshalls avg against Cardinals .225 estimated
WainWright avg against Cubs .286

Soto .667
Fontenot .600 Theriot .333
Ramirez (lower back) .333

I believe that a 10 cent on the dollar warrants a play even against the Surging Cardinals.

Also, the Cardinals did travel after a 12-7 victory. This was also involved in the play.

agreed, just hard going against those trends, its amazing how the players change, yet some pitchers just continue to beat up or suck against the same logo
