Milwaukee at NY Mets

The Mets will roll out Johan, quite possibly their only real threat on the mound, as he takes on the Brewers today at Citifield. He gave up one run in 5 2/3 innings in a win at Cincinnati on opening day, then was a hard-luck loser allowing two unearned runs over seven innings striking out 13 in a 2-1 loss to the Marlins last week. That was his first loss since last June. Wow. Gallardo spit the bit last week when given a lead, giving up a four-run advantage by giving up six runs in the third inning. Mets better roll on this one or i'll be pissed.

Florida at Washington

In a 2-1 win over the visiting Mets, Josh Johnson had a no-hitter in the sixth and struck out seven in the victory. The start before that he pitched six and two thirds and struck out eight on April 7 in an 8-3 home victory. Do you think he will dominate again? You betcha.Josh Johnson so far this year is win both of his starts while posting a miniscule 0.57 ERA in the process. The right-hander has 15 strikeouts against just one walk in 15 2-3 innings this season.
To top it off, Johnson is 4-0 with a 2.48 ERA in five career games against the Nationals.

Scott Olsen, the former Marlin, will go against his first team and try to improve on his first outing against the Fish. Marlin Scott Olsen has been been tattooed in his first two starts.
The left-hander is 0-2 with a 14.63 ERA, having allowed 13 runs and 14 hits in just eight innings. Olsen was lit up in one of those games by the Marlins for eight runs and eight hits in just three innings.

Cincinnati at Houston

Harang goes up against an Astros offense that’s been held to three runs or fewer in seven of its 10 games, including scoring two runs or fewer five times. Also, Harang has enjoyed pitching at Minute Maid Park the last few years, giving up just 14 earned runs in his last five starts in Houston covering 44 2/3 innings (2.82 ERA), with the Reds going 4-1.

At the same time, with lefty Wandy Rodriguez on the Hill, Houston has lost four straight home games to Cincinnati, including a pair of 2-1 decisions last August. Throw in the Reds’ 11-4 record in their last 15 starts against southpaw starters and their 21-10 mark in their last 31 when Harang is an underdog, that’s good enough for me.
