look up to watch the ball.

swing as hard as you can, you'll hit the ball further.

bend that left elbow as much as you can.

have a fast backswing.

South.....

Anybody here ever say you were a funny man?
Last 6 rounds...91..82..82..80..84..81
The 91 was the day after I arrived in Thailand...

I think the same thing goes for Golfers ( like Ball players ) as the saying is,
No Sex before you play. @) You might have a better game.

Well you can add at least 5 strokes to all those rounds. Those would be true scores.

These courses over here are all public open to memberships if you wanted one...over 20 courses within 40 minutes of where I am staying in Pattaya with the closet one 15 minutes away..Most of the courses have 27 holes and they are comparable to nice country club private courses in the states...

Rates vary throughout the week with the average price around 45 bucks with a cart and woman caddy(around 10 bucks extra) All the courses I have played here are like any TPC course in the states and the fairways are immaculate...

Every course here has a beautiful clubhouse with great facilities...I will be posting pics in about 2 weeks....

On long putts say over 25 feet, try and imagine a 3 foot imaginary circle around the hole. Try to roll the ball inside this circle on line with with the hole. You will improve your lag putting and will also eliminate the tendency to putt the ball way past the hole which leads to three putts which absolutely kills your score. By consistently putting the golf ball inside this imaginary circle, you will see your up and downs come around and will for the most part play par or bogey golf depending on your iron play.

Best golf advice I received: STOP ASKING FOR TIPS & POINTERS!

Find yourself ONE golf book instructional (the Pennick suggestion is a good one) and just focus on playing. You see, people get too many tips at once, try all the 1000 things they heard and then up mastering none of them. You simply can't give each tip enough time to actually work for you if you keep on changing them! Just follow one instructional book and give yourself enough time to actually develop your game.

Also, too many people focus on the range and the driver. Forget going out and buying the latest $300 driver. Get yourself a good set of wedges and work on the short game. I almost always play on the chipping green, sand trap and spend very little time at the range.

One thing I learned through trial and error was to how to hit a 5 wood straight about 200 yds. If you can learn how to hit this club straight consistently, it will be a valuable club to have in your bag and you will gain confidence with it. It really comes in handy on par fives when you hit a good driver off the tee and play a 5 wood for position to have a short approach to the green. Most beginners really struggle hitting a 3 wood straight and trying to use one in situations where a five wood would suffice often leaves the player in more trouble than they would like. Beginners seem to have better success hitting a 5 wood straighter than a 3 wood and thus you don't find yourself playing out of the woods so much. Master the 5 wood and your score will show it imediately.

if you are serious...

take lessons so you dont start off with bad habits...

video the lesson

hit balls...lots and lots of balls

then hit some more

concentrate on chip and put

over 50% of your strokes will be there

if you can chip and put...you can hang and not get embarrassed

better yet...take up the piano instead
