Anyone else LOVE the Royals on Friday? Looks like the best play of the season to me..

Man looks like one of the better wagers of the season...

Tigers playing late tonight, having travel from Los Angeles to Kansas City overnight to go against a major stud like Greinke.. KC team is pretty good..

This just looks outstanding to me..

I agree that the royals should win, but I'd like to see their bats get going a bit more.

Can't sat I agree with you too much there. Detroit plays KC tough, and when it comes to the offence KC can probably not show up at all.

Greinke is a great pitcher, but Porcello is no chump, he has potential to be real special. As far as travel, Porcello is already in kc so that will not effect him, and detroits hitters are pretty good and I don't think it will give them problems. Greinke should keep detroit in check, but if porcello plays like he can and this ends up a pen battle i'll have to lean on detroit....Just my 2 cents

Not Greinke though, they haven't fared well against him..

Sorry, had to step out for a bit

anyways...greinke team record when pitching vs detroit is actually 9-5, good but now way great (I do think he is a great pitcher, had personal problems last year, which he is now over them, and will have a hell of an year) I just can't say that its a game of year because quite frankly KC can but up a gooze egge the whole game. Thats why I would lean on detroit in the later innings. Kc's bullpen has been good but it might just be all smoke and mirrors I'm not sold on them, and in recent games they have been a little shaky

I'm not say take detroit, just playing the devils advocate a little.

Other than Soria, I'm not sold on the pen and I think Hillman showed he's not either leaving Meche in there after he allowed a runner in the 8th after he'd thrown over 100 pitches going into the inning.

I agree. They're bullpen sucksssss other than Soria and their position players are pretty bad, at least in the past week or so. Buth with Greinke and Soria tomorrow, I dont think it should matter. 4-1 or 5-1 type of game...

zack attack would've been a lock if the royals didn't suck so much offensively. Porcello's a work in progress, but KC is the type of team that could let him off the hook.

We should take it, but I have a bad feeling that Zach is going to get rocked. Detroit's got their offense going this week so he has to be perfect once again. I wouldn't bet on it.

Detroit: DET are 5-14 in their last 19 road games.
DET are 4-10 in their last 14 Fri. games.

Kansas City: KC are 9-0 in their last 9 games as a home favorite.
KC are 10-1 in their last 11 games as a favorite.
KC are 8-2 in their last 10 games following a loss.

Head to Head: Under is 18-6-1 in the last 25 meetings.

Anyone see Detroit play last night? Horrible.
I agree KC could have it tough in later innings. I may be on KC for the first 5.
Oh, and being from Detroit, I'll tell you that the Tigers will ALWAYS let you down. Just when you think they have something together, it'll fall apart. They have no pitching, their hitters can't keep up with the team's lack of pitching.

I don't think this is a GOY play, but I do like KC first 5. IMO

After yesterday I don't think I can ever put money on KC ever again. Even if their starters pitch well, they have the worst of luck in other areas.

ya averageg I know what you mean. I've been on a few of their chokes so far this year but I think you hafta not let it interfere with your future picks because it happens to all teams sometimes...tonight I hope they can put up a quick 3 or 4 runs and let Greinke-Soria take care of all 9 IP
