Today's Plays:

Minnesotta @ Cleveland
Weather: Out to Right Center 12 - 17 MPH

The Indians come home to face the Twinkies in a 1st game set. The last 7 days they hit at a 289 clip and enter today with the wind blowing out to Right Center. Blackburn has made some good starts vs the Indians but for the year has an ERA in the high 5's. He's pitched 6 strong twice and 8 with another. Carmona on the other hand hasn't pitched past the 7 in years it seems like and has always given up more than 4 ER in his last 7.

Both Bullpens allow a high RS/G and this will add to the total. If this game has both pitchers going 7 it will stay under, however I have the play as an over due to past history of Carmona and Blackburns high Hit's to inning pitch ratio. Last 7 GS he has an era of 6.88. Carmona is at 9.26

.

Blackburn has had some success vs Indians as he holds them to a .243 batting average and is 3-0 with a 1.30 ERA against them.

PLAY: OVER 10 -115
PLAY: MINNESOTA +140

Texas @ Baltimore
Weather: Out to Left Center 5-10 MPH
Last series: 18 Runs plus per game average

Vincent Padilla vs Orioles hitters"

.387 and got blasted for 7 Runs and 3.1 INNINGS
TEXAS is an over team all year IMO.
BALTIMORE's pitching is dead last in the League. However the kid they throw up their today didn't look to bad the last outing vs the Sox allowing only 2 runs in 7 IP. The one team he got shelled against was the Rangers.

PLAY: OVER 10.5 -125
PLAY: Baltimore -137

OK...We send Kazmir (lefty) vs Cahill on Friday Night. Not happy about the wind here but I'll take Kazmir in a bounce back performance tonight. Kazmir has pitched well vs Oakland with a 3-1 record and a 1.91 ERA while holding the Oakland hitters to .203 batting average against. Oakland is hittin a whopping .217 vs LHP on the year and holds a 2-7 Record against them. They are also hitting .197 over the last 7.

Cahill on the other hand is a bright spot for Oakland so far this year supporting an ERA of 2.60 and an 0-1 Record slowing down the Blue Jays, Angels, and Seattle. He hasn't faced TBAY and has 17 IP with 12 Hits against.

The only thing making me nervous is the wind blowing out, however two good pitchers lead me to a play.

PLAY: TAMPA BAY -130
PLAY: UNDER 8 -115

Chicago Cubs @ St. Louis
Weather: 16 MPH TO LEFT

Game 1 matches Ryan Dempster vs Adam Wainwright in a windy St. Louis ball park. The Cardinals come into tonights game as THE # 1 team in RUNS, BATTING AVERAGE, OBP, OPS, SLUGGING, TB, and HR. This is a great accomplishment because they have a very good pitching staff. The park they play in is beneficial to Pitching but this is compensated because of a stong pitching staff. The Staff is much better at home at an 8-2 record with an ERA in the low 3's rather than 3-3 with a low 5 ERA. Wainwright holds a 4.6 ERA in his last 5 starts vs Chicago

THE CUBS are off to a slow start at 11th in the league in Batting average 7th in Runs and 11th in SO. They haven't had trouble getting on base at 5th in the league but SO and lack of Clutch hits have hurt them.

Cubs vs Wainwright .281
Cardinals vs Dempster .294

What this equals to is 5 to 6 IP by Wainwright 3 to 4 ER's and Dempster 5 to 6 IP with 3 to 4 ER...Equalling 8 in 6 IP. IMO of course.

The Bullpens are holding an ERA of 4 for both. 3 IP 2 ER from Bullpens equals OVER IMO of course.

PLAY: OVER 9 -110
LEAN: CUBS + 115

The Syndicate at PREGAME....FUnny I'm no tout...FREE @)

Last night, the Wall Street Bankers Syndicate had their first big play in baseball. Selections given to monthly and season subscribers at Pregame, and to my Crowne Club members, are rated from 1/2 unit to a very top of 2 Units. The Syndicate play last night was big enough for us to rate it a very top 2 Units. It was an easy 5-1 win with the Dodgers. They came with it at 7:20 PM Eastern.

DODGERS have not won a game all year 5-1 ???? SKETCHY..:103631605
