Wiz's Sports Blog-trend/system & info****(May add/post more at any given time)

The Red Sox, coming off a thrilling extra-innings home win against the Yankees on Friday night – which happened to be my Best Bet on Friday -- are on an eight-game winning streak and sport additional positive runs of 7-0 at home and 5-0 inside the A.L. East. Plus, starter Josh Beckett has a 2.86 ERA over his last five starts against New York.

The Yankees, despite the setback, are still 21-9 in their last 30 games, dating to last season.

A.J. Burnett looks to improve to 6-0 in his career against the Red Sox. The veteran right-hander is 5-0 with a 2.56 ERA in eight career starts versus Boston. He's been even better at Fenway Park, winning all three starts at the hitter-friendly ballpark while posting a 0.40 ERA.

The Yankees are 12-4 in their last 16 vs. a team with a winning record.
The Yankees are 11-5 in their last 16 games as an underdog.

Josh Beckett went 3-1 with a 3.25 ERA in four outings versus New York in 2008, improving to 7-4 with a 5.33 ERA in 12 career starts. The Red Sox are 1-5 in Beckett's last 6 home starts vs. a team with a winning record. The Red Sox are also 0-4 in Beckett's last 4 starts following a Quality Start in his last appearance. Going into last night's game, Boston's bullpen owned an impressive 1.65 ERA and 0.91 WHIP at home.

The Over is 10-2 in the Red Sox's last 12 overall.

The Red Sox are 8-0 in their last 8 games as a favorite.

The average score was: BOSTON (6.4) , OPPONENT (4.0)

The Cardinals, hosting the Cubs, are on a bundle of positive rolls, including 20-8 overall, 5-0 against left-handed starters, 8-2 following a win and 20-7 overall.

The Cubs have gone 25-12 in their last 37 road games, but they are 0-5 in Sean Marshall’s last five starts overall and 1-5 with the lefty taking the ball on the road.

The Phillies are on a 5-0 run from the underdog role and are 31-14 in their last 45 games overall, heading into today’s tilt at Florida.

The Marlins, after a scorching start, have lost four straight games, but they are still on upswings of 9-2 as a home favorite.

(Baseball System) PLAY AGAINST road underdogs with a money line of +100 or higher, who are a good AL hitting team with a batting average of .285 or higher against a team with a below average bullpen (ERA of 4.50 or higher), who hot hitting team - batting .333 or better over their last three games. This is the Toronto Blue jays and this system is 36-7, 83.7 percent.

My personal play (i don't wager any longer) that looks good to me:Went 1-1 yesterday in bases, & won with Philly in baskets.I don't have a write-up ready
on this game but know that Wash nor the Mets haven't been producing many runs as of late as a team,so I'm likin the total on this game & will come back
later with a late play or 2.

recommend:Wash/Mets under 9.5

More added info on mid afternoon game between:

Yankees vs. Boston

The Yankees and Red Sox get it on in Game Two of this bitter rivalry at Fenway Park this afternoon when A.J. Burnett takes the hill for New York. For opener, Burnett loves hurling in the Bronx where he is 3-0 with a microscopic 0.40 ERA in his MLB career team starts. He's also 5-1 in his last six road starts during the opening month of April. Look for Burnett to pay his first big dividend for New York here today when the Pinstripes try to improve to 10-1 away on Saturdays here this afternoon.

Of course this play recommends the Yankees.

we'll take a push on the Mets total if ya got it at 10,& looks like the Yanks are taking care of Boston,so let's take a chance on the Milw/Houston total.

The under is 6-1 in the Brewers last seven overall as they take on the Astros tonight. It is 7-2 in Suppan's last nine against losing teams and is 5-1 in their last six against a left handed starter. For Houston, the under is 9-2-1 in their last 12 overall and is 18-4 in their last 22 home games vs. a right-handed starter. This one hopefully takes a submarine dive tonight.

recommend:under 9.5
