Is there an "EyeTV 250 Plus" like product for PC's?

If you're just looking for the tuning functionality, then I would suggest any of the numerous TV tuners for PCs. I particularly like the HDHomeRun as it is a network tuner. It'll tune Clear QAM and any computer attached to your home router can utilize it.

The problem with TV tuners now, is that with everything going digital, there are far fewer stations to tune (in some areas). I only get the major networks here in clear qam. There is no real viable solution for premium channels that does not involve have a cablebox do the tuning and outputting that audio/video to the PC.

Thx, sounds like the network tuner is the way to go then.

Probably a dumb question, but any chance Clear QAM will be able to unencrypt digital channels in the future, or would you still need a direct encrypted source first?

As far as I know, there's nothing coming up that'll allow you to view/record encrypted channels on a PC (or Mac). There are CableCARD tuners available, that can tune all digital programming, but they are only available in fairly high-priced systems (~$1200+) and can't be purchased separately (and even if purchased separately, it wouldn't work). It's some bullshit IMO.

If you're willing to use a cable box, there is a device that'll take the HiDef output (via component cables) and allow your PC To record it... but my feeling is that having the cable box kinda defeats the purpose.
