Is it worth the money to buy a PS3 for this game? I have friends that play the PS2 version and say that it's awesome. But they have never played the PS3 version.

Yes. I bought a PS3 just for the game. Absolutely no regrets. You have to be into the season for the long haul though, be warned.

Yes, best baseball video game I have played. 10/10. Blows the shit out of that 2K9 crap.

Once I get through this CD card for tomorrow, I have to start working on my RTTS again. Thanks for the reminder Illini.

what's the price difference between ps2 and ps3? Might not be worth it to play 1 game...especially if ps2 is all you'll know. You might not even like playing video games anyway. Just get a ps2...you can probably go down to the preowned game store and get it cheap.

Are Ps3's still backwards compatible with ps2?!

I used my Sony Rewards points and finally broke down and got a PS3 this week and the 80GB model is only backwards compatible with PSone games but not PS2 games. I don't really care though cause I have my PS3 set up in my room and my PS2 set up in my game/computer room. What sucks is my TV only has 2 HDMI ports so I have alternate between my DVD player and PS3. I don't want to burn out my PS3 by watching DVD's on it all the time. (I haven't made the jump to blue ray movies yet dueto the cost.)

I bought 3 games so far Total Non Stop Wrestling, Tony Hawk Proving Ground and Resident Evil 5. Resident Evil 5 is pretty sick. Now only if there was enough time in the day to play all my PS2 and PS3 games.

Nice. I freaking LOVE RE 5. Sheva in her Tribal costume is yum.
