I was floored when my Mom and Dad offered me $150,000 to help pay off my wife and my mortgage

They actually brought me to tears. But I'm finding it hard to say yes to their offer. They are in their mid eighties and said they would rather give it to me now instead of seeing me lose my home. They do not need the money and I would have to deduct any money from my inheritance once they pass because I have two older brothers neither of which need the money at this time. I have never asked anyone to help me financially and I feel very strange. What would you guys do in my situation???

That's what Parents are for, to help out their kids anyway they can.
Doesn't sound like a Hand out, and you shouldn't take it that way.

If they have it, and want to give. Why not take it ??

Don't let your pride shit on their joy.

They are happy to be in a position to do it.

Take that blessing and then use some of it to take them out and have some fun too.

You are back with your wife? If not I would say lose the house then take the money after the divorce is final.

Financial terms are final. She has agreed to a buyout of her equity and that is all she signed off on.

Your life seems to be falling apart Harry.

Take a deep breath and get back on track

A little rough patch that's all. Splitting up was the best thing we could have done. We both seem to be a lot happier living apart.

Hey I already have a date tonight with an old friend (female of course) who is also recently divorced. Nothing serious just a movie and some dinner and someone to talk to. I need to get out of the house. Tomorrow I'm going to Toronto to see a ball game with my son. I'm actually doing fine.
