Good News for Canadians gambling in the USA

Just got back from the Motherland.
Hit a Video Poker Royal Flush for $4000
Fully expected to get only $2800 but got the full $4K

Was told they have a Preferred Tax Agreement with Canada now.
Not sure when or if they tax, but I didn't care.

It was like winning twice, getting another $1200.

I've played video poker it seems like forever and I have never been lucky enough to hit a royal flush. Congrats!

Congrats!!!I've hit 2 royals;One at Bodog,trying to play out a $200
balance & the other at The Hilton Superbook.Both for $1200 with
limited vp play.

I've hit hundreds.................but many came on three-five-and ten-play machines.

Still, have probably hit over 40 on just the single line variety.

I've always pretty much stuck with the 6/5 machines myself. It seems those machines are getting harder to find in Vegas though. I've played them for over 20 years and I just have never gotten lucky one damn time.

I should mention that I was only going to Vegas maybe twice a year though.

We do play alot. Lots of free booze too.

I am curious, when they changed the tax law?? Anyone have a link?

I'm always curious about playing the video poker at 5 dimes. I'm hesitant to play in an on-line casino. Has anyone had experience playing video poker at 5 dimes?

For whatever reason, when I got home last night I was thinking about video poker and I remembered putting in a thread trying to find a 6/5 machine. I thought, wtf, I should have put 9/6, not 6/5.

Oh well, anyone had experience playing video poker at 5 dimes?

Yeah, I remember that one too. I've been hitting near 60% on those bets for 5 years now and you only got in on two? I think maybe you tailed me in previous years too if I remember correctly. Who knows what your record is during that time?

Maybe I'll buy you a drink if I travel up to Van-town and you give me some good tips on where to visit. I still plan on making it up there this year.
