The Cubs are starting left-hander Ted Lilly. He's a flyball pitcher facing a top-heavy right-handed Astros lineup in a hitter's park.

Lilly's road ERA this season is 9.00. The over has cashed in eight of Lilly's last 10 road outings.

The Cubs have scored at least six runs in four of their last six games. They should be able to knock out the wild Ortiz early and get into the Astros' highly vulnerable bullpen.

After getting his last start skipped Russ Ortiz takes the mound for the Astros to face the hard hitting Cubs, Ortiz has failed to make it past the 5 inning in all three start's this year and I don't like his chances here tonight. Ortiz has had a problem with the walks this year. He will counter Ted Lilly who has struggled on the road giving up 10 runs in 10 innings and five of those runs came against this Astros lineup.

also:
The Astros are 6-2 in their last eight Thursday games. The UNDER is 23-9-1 in the last 33 Astros home games. The UNDER is 38-16-2 in the last 56 meetings between these two teams. Who’s ready to do some trend breaking? Lilly got hit hard in his first start against Houston while Ortiz was all over the place in his only relief appearance. Aramis Ramirez is back healthy in the lineup while Berkman is due to break out any time now. We had a situation like this a couple of weeks ago how the trends so heavily favored the UNDER.. However, that is because the line is usually so bloated it makes it not worth taking.

Topping things off is Andrian Johnson is scheduled to be the home plate umpire to boot.. The over is 14-2-4 the last 20 times Johnson has been behind the plate.

Tampa Bay vs. Yankees

Andy Pettitte is 2-1 with a fairly respectable 3.82 ERA. The Yankees have won four of his five starts. Jeff Niemann comes in with a 2-3 record and a poor 5.68 ERA. He lasted just three innings in his last start.

While they beat a tough right-hander yesterday, the Rays have had real trouble with southpaw starters. In fact, dating back to last year's playoffs, they're an ugly 1-10 the last 11 times that they were matched up against a left-hander.

With the Yankees at 75-52 the last 127 times that they were coming off three consecutive losses.
Lets put a wager on those "DAMN YANKEES"
